To have a better understanding of where subluxations are in your spine, depends on the types of potential health problems that you suffer. There are four basic regions in your spine: the cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), lumbar (low back) and sacral (buttocks) regions. Each region relays crucial nerve from your brain through the spinal cord and to important tissues, organs or systems.
Which Nerves Go Where?
Different nerves in the cervical region are responsible for how our lungs work. Different nerves in the thoracic region are responsible for how our stomach and intestinal system functions, while different nerves in the lumbar region are responsible for the proper function of our reproductive systems. The sacral region contains nerves that are responsible for how our lower limbs function.
Our Bodies
When we have these messages blocked off by subluxations, we have a high probability of failure in that part of the body. The unfortunate reality of having spinal nerve interference is that we are designed to not feel roughly 90% of everything in our bodies. So, we are incapable of feeling or being aware of 90% of all our bodies’ internal dysfunction.
Dealing with Health
The problem with this is that it divides people into two different health categories:
1) People who only deal with health when symptoms arise. These people not only ignore the function of the vast majority of how their body works, but may have lower quality of health and shorter life spans.
2) People who deal with whole body function throughout their lives. These people understand that this allows for a higher quality of life, a longer life span and, as a result, have a lot more enjoyment out of life. When the nervous system is at its maximum level and can properly feed all the tissues, organs and systems of a body, people feel better. They smile more, are energized and are healthy.
If you want to be in this second group, have your nervous system checked frequently by an experienced Chiropractor.By:
